Dear {{FirstName or 'friend'}},
We launched OBI University just a month ago, and already we have 2,000 students registered! We built the platform because the growing demand for our belonging frameworks was overwhelming, and cloning our colleagues simply wasn’t an option!
Instead, we’re creating a robust course catalog — as you can see below — of free, on-demand classes on bridging, belonging, OBI frameworks and more. We’ve also gathered all of our structural racism resources in one place so you can create your own journey. It’s a chance for you to learn from OBI researchers and artists, and our many brilliant and creative friends who join us for reflection about our core values and building inclusive and just structures. |

Bridging 1: The Fundamentals
Explore the foundations of bridging (and breaking). We’ll learn what bridging is, how bridging happens, and what is at stake when we break. |
Bridging 3: Community Stories
Hear directly from people practicing bridging in their communities through engaging stories of power and solidarity. |
| Bridging 2: The Levels
Investigate the levels at which bridging takes place. We’ll learn about the scale and stakes of bridging, and how power affects these dynamics. |
Bridging 4: How to Bridge
Feeling ready to bridge? Learn practical steps and methods to bridge in your spaces and communities. |

And yes, you do get a certificate at the end of each course! We will add live discussion sessions early next year; and we want you to bring your colleagues and community members along so you can discuss the content internally.
As with any ambitious new project, our team expected a lot of bumps in the first weeks, so we have been carefully monitoring messages and doing our best to help folks get started. Instead, we’ve been blown away by the enthusiasm and gratitude. I shouldn’t be surprised — we have an extraordinarily talented team here at OBI. More importantly, we have extraordinary humans, and this learning platform is built with an enormous amount of love, joy, research and wisdom. Here is some of the feedback we've heard from real users so far: |

|
“GREAT course, [especially] in these massively polarizing times when I was beginning to have no hope. I have some hope now!” |
“I am walking away with the understanding that bridging and belonging can be practiced, it can be small things and we can learn to be brave.” |
“The playback tools are some of the most comprehensive I've ever seen on an online course and allowed me to experience the material in just the way I like.” |
|
“I feel like this course is one of the best I've seen. The interactions, the material, everything was well done.” |
“Belonging is my red thread. I'm grateful to be in a space that gives words and validation to something that is an ever present theme in my life. ” |
“I am also a dancer/mover and I really appreciate the embodied practices you offer within this work.” | |

With that said, we are thrilled to unveil the final installment of the Bridging course series so folks can dive into all four parts at their own pace. So please, register at OBIU.org, bring your friends and colleagues, and let us know what you think! |
With deep gratitude, Cecilie Surasky on behalf of the whole OBI Team |
