VIDEO CLIP: OBI University Bridging Course. Hello Community,
I want to share my experience with taking the Bridging class at OBI University (OBIU). This class is unlike any other online course I have taken. It includes embodiment breaks, conversations with john a. powell, and insights from Judith Butler, bell hooks, and Monica Guzman. The Bridging class at OBIU felt like a container for all of the best bridging advice I have received and picked up over the years.
As a member of the active community of OBI, I have been called upon many times to bridge the gap between people. Although bridging isn't something that comes easy to me, I have learned that it is an ethic, a practice, a set of muscles, and an orientation. Through my experiences, I have realized that the only way to get better at bridging is by continuously practicing it. So, when I heard that we were developing a set of bridging courses, I knew that it was an opportunity for me to work towards becoming the person I want to be in the world.
I may not be the most skilled at bridging gaps between people, but I am confident in my ability to unite individuals and communities instead of dividing them. Taking these online courses has helped me realize this. I urge everyone to dedicate time towards improving a skill they wish to incorporate into their lives and witness the positive impact it can have.
Much love, Christian M. Ivey |

VIDEO CLIP: Culture of Care Elliot Kukla Rest Clip Cultures of Care - ELLIOT KUKLA
The current is tumultuous and often challenging to navigate. It seems fitting to reintroduce our Cultures of Care series, exploring the role of rest and grief in effecting systemic change.
The future is one of unconditional love and care, of systems based on care as opposed to profit. The systems we have now are not human. I do believe that if there were ways to care for us as humans that would also care for the planet. The driving humans to burnout and the lack of support for us as we age and get sick is very connected to the lack of support for a living planet and driving a planet to the edge. - Elliot Kukla Click here to visit Elliot Kukla's full Cultures of Care profile for full interview, video transcripts, deeper learning connection with prompts as well.
