Hello Community, In a world where inclusivity is a goal shared by many, the journey towards fairness and unity can be challenging. How can we build institutions celebrating diversity without inadvertently sowing seeds of division? The quest for answers has led OBI down many paths, spawning the Belonging Design Principles in our pursuit for a universal goal.
With roots in sociology, neuroscience, psychology, law, and more, our Belonging Design Principles draw from diverse fields. But they're not just theoretical – they're rooted in real experiences and wisdom from community-builders and storytellers.
No matter where you are – whether in Kansas City, Kyoto, Jacksonville, Johannesburg, Boston, or Buenos Aires – our Belonging Design Principles can be adapted to your unique context and culture. Let's collaborate to make belonging a global reality.
Are you ready to take the next step? Explore the complete set of Belonging Design Principles on our website and join us in building a world where every belongs.
Much love, Christian M. Ivey |

CineSpin 2023 - Call to Student Musicians
CineSpin is the BAMPFA Student Committee's annual silent film event. With the help of student musicians, we choose a silent film (or a couple of shorts) and the student musicians craft an original score or musical improvisation to accompany the film. This year, on the evening of November 3rd, the chosen student musicians will play their original score live as the film plays at the Barbro Osher Theater at BAMPFA. Please fill out this form to be considered as this year's CineSpin student musicians and reach out to Dasha Peppler (dashapeppler@berkeley.edu) and Ian Kammerer (vivian.kammerer@berkeley.edu), the student committee's film chairs, if you have any questions.
This form closes on September 22th, 2023.
Musician(s) selected will be paid $200 via CalCentral, this is why we need a SID. |
