WORKSHOPS
We have an incredible set of workshops for Saturday and Sunday morning. Our workshops have been designed to facilitate and encourage intersectional dialogue on different issues. Our ten workshops are:

WORKSHOP PANELISTS
Anchoring our workshops are an incredible line-up of panelists, from scholars to community activists to leaders in the technology, government, and nonprofit sectors. You can meet all our Workshop Panelists on our website.
BOOK SIGNING
Charles Blow and Ai-jen Poo will be be signing copies of their books at our booksellers table during the conference. The schedule will be posted at the registration table. There will be limited copies of both of their books for sale.
REGISTRATION & OVERFLOW
As of April 8, online registration has been closed and we are not accepting any more registrations for the Othering & Belonging Conference. Thank you to everyone who registered - we are thrilled and deeply grateful for the huge interest in this conference.
Because we have reached maximum capacity for the attendees who can be inside the Grand Ballroom in the Oakland Marriott Hotel, where all the keynote and plenary sessions take place, we have secured an overflow space within the hotel. In our Overflow Space, all events taking place in the Grand Ballroom will be viewable from a large screen. Everyone in the Overflow Space will still have full access to all conference content, including all concurrent workshops, all meals, and special events that take place in the Grand Foyer such as the Friday night dessert reception and book signings by authors such as Charles Blow and Ai-jen Poo.
Due to safety and security considerations such as fire code regulations, once the Grand Ballroom has reached capacity, we will direct people to the Overflow Space. Priority seating will be reserved in the Grand Ballroom for speakers and those needing sign language, interpretation, or wheelchair access.
We will be able to accept a limited number of on-site registrations and only for the Overflow Space. If the Overflow Space does reach capacity we will not be able to accommodate any more registrants. Also please note that we cannot accept any cash on-site, only credit cards or checks. If you believe you will come to the conference to register on-site, please contact our Registration Team now so we can keep an accurate headcount and be able to prepare in advance.
RECORDINGS
All keynote and plenary sessions will be video-recorded and available on our website shortly following the conference. Personal video recording or filming is not allowed during the sessions in the Grand Ballroom due to contracted agreements with the speakers, performers, and the Marriott Hotel. Please do not use flash photography during the performances or keynote sessions. |
